The right food and beverages will set the tone for a more enjoyable and productive event. Whether it’s a corporate meeting, trade show, company party or any other gathering, you should provide guests with delicious food and beverages. Doing so will boost attendee satisfaction while improving productivity in the process.

Food Trucks

One inexpensive catering solution that’s perfect for nearly all events and parties is a food truck. This meal-on-wheels operation will travel to your event, serving made-to-order dishes to guests. And with roughly 3 millionfood trucks operating in the United States, you shouldn’t have a problem finding one for your event. Just remember to contact your preferred food truck vendor in advance to ensure they are available. The great thing about food trucks is that they serve made-to-order, so there’s not a table full of leftover food.

Build-Your-Own Burrito

For a south-of-the-border dish that most guests love, set up a build-your-own burrito station, complete with flour tortillas, refried beans, ground beef, chicken, cheese, salsa and corn chips.

Bento Box

If you really want to take a step away from the norm, try serving bento boxes at your next event. This traditional Japanese meal consists of individual, compartmentalized boxes with foods like rice, teriyaki chicken, vegetables and sushi. Just remember to bring the chopsticks, because no sushi experience is complete without them.

Mini Burgers

Of course, you can always choose mini burgers (sliders) for a delicious and inexpensive dish at your next event. Create a station with mini burger patties, buns, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese and condiments. Add some potato chips and you are good to go!

Drink Ideas

Now that you have some food ideas, you might be wondering what beverages to serve at your event. Here’s a short list of some budget-friendly beverages that work well for all types of events:

  • Create-your-own soda fountain
  • Flavored teas
  • Coffee bistro
  • Freshly squeezed fruit juice
  • Sparking water
  • Craft beer
